I was a lost soul in 2017 so I started this blog thinking it might be a good outlet for all the suppressed creativity and stories that had been mothballed away for many years while I was busy earning a living in New York. I dabbled on and off for the next couple of years while I tried to figure out what would be the next phase of my life – how to make the final chapter mean something.
In 2019, the year I would turn 60 – and the year of the pig (my animal) in the lunar calendar, I made the decision to leave New York and move to Los Angeles. To say that year was one of upheaval is an understatement. Not only did I uproot from my home of 41 years, but I also lost my mother at the same time.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 and the world shut down, the isolation actually turned out to be a necessary period of introspection. Now well-rested, I’m ready to tell new stories.
